Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is registration limited?

The Connecticut Bach Festival and Competition is a one-day event with a carefully structured schedule. Limiting participation ensures appropriate performance time for each student and allows space for medal presentations and possible additional programming.

Q: What happens if a division fills before I register?

Once a division reaches capacity, registration will close automatically and no additional participants can be added. Late registrations cannot be accommodated.

Q: Is there a waitlist if a division is full?

At this time, no waitlist is offered. Participants and teachers are encouraged to register early to secure a place. If circumstances allow, the festival may revisit this policy.

Q: Are schedules finalized at the time of registration?

No. Performance schedules are created after registration closes and are based on the final number of participants and program needs. The schedule will be available to all participants two weeks prior to the festival.
